  • Hex receiver:

German Mauser Karabiner 98k, or K98k, 98k - Has a flat sight leaf on a tangent base; has a shorter handguard that starts in front of the rear sight: 

     

    Yugoslavian Mauser M48 - has a flat sight leaf on a tangent base and a bent bolt, the handguard wraps around the rear sight and has a rear sight/handguard retaining screw:

    Yugoslavian Mauser M24/27 has the same rear sight and handguard as M48 but has a straight bolt:

     

    Czechoslovakia Mauser VZ. 24 has a flat sight leaf on a tangent base and the rear sight ramp is removable. VZ.24 has a straight bolt.

    1911 long rifle or K11 carbine have plastic bolt handle and the distance between the rear sight and the receiver is longer than K31:
