Extremely easy installation! It only took a couple of minutes to install. I like the fact that I can put my 1936 hex receiver Mosin Nagant back to it's original if I want to.

I am beyond thrilled about this optic mount for the Mosin Nagant. Absolutely superb machining and flawless fit to the rifle. I am not being pushed in any way to say positive feedback. I'm genuinely very happy and happily surprised how nice these are. There is a lot of Chinese made stuff that's similar but they generally do not hold up well for long or come close in quality. And I have tried a majority of those other rail options over the last decade or so. I'm so happy I came across BadAce Tactical. They are phenomenal.

Just got it in the mail this morning and installed it. Installation was a snap! You don't get any simpler. It sits rock solid so far, and I don't expect that to change. Looking forward to putting lead downrange with it! No issues with eye relief of any of the scopes I have fitted to it.

Purchased the mount for the hex model.. Fit perfectly .. Very solid design.. I will caution as not to over tighten the screw , that pull's it tight to receiver.. This was my fault , made the rear of the mount rise slightly .. Think 20 moa base ... My scope ran out of adj.. But I realized my error , torqued correctly , problem solved... I am very pleased with this mount.... Good job Bad Ace Tactical....

I installed the BadAce MN 91/30 hex receiver mount on my Finn M91/30. Installation is fast and simple. I have BadAce mounts on Swedish Mausers and the attachment method is identical. This mount only works with the M91/30 rear sight base. It does not fit the earlier Konovalov sight base on the original M91 and Finnish MN's before the M39; for that you need a different BadAce mount. With the rear sight leaf spring removed, the BadAce flanged "T" nut is slid into the spring's retaining grooves. This assures solid attachment and zero holding. The rear part of the mount is contoured to match the flat slabs of the earlier MN receiver ring. After mounting my scope, I only needed a small amount of windage correction to zero with an optical collimator. At the range, bore sighting confirmed the alignment and only a few more clicks were needed. Range firing also confirmed that the mount retains zero. The Picatinny rail has an "L" cross sectional profile that keeps the rail absolutely rigid. To be considered with this and similar MN mounts is that the rail has to be kept short to allow clearance for the PU-style turned down bolt handle. So you need a scope with generous eye relief since the scope cannot be positioned as far back as may be needed for a comfortable shooting position.

When choosing the scope, make sure that A+E-R is longer than 8" (see the illustration above). Most modern scopes will work. Compact scopes with short eyepiece or short eye reliefs such as ATN X-Sight (2.5" eye relief) will NOT work.
