I bought this scope on advice from a friend for an M1A1. The scope is supposed to be able to be used on this rifle, but that is not the case unless you buy another rail to mount on the rear site area....now the scope sits a bit too high and I am out another 85.00. IF your going advertise this for the M1A1 then please tell your customers they will need another rail, you cannot possibly use it forward of the bolt compartment. Also the screws holding it to the rail grip became loose after 3 shots ....shot about another 20 rounds trying to figure out what was going on, this was after we had zeroed it a week before. BUT the three shots were dead on, and I really DO like this scope, just there should be some better advertising and better screws.

Love it but I had trouble finding scope that will work with the mount not red dot at least 4x9x42.

The idea, design and construction is quite good. The fit was perfect. I didn't use the height adjusting screws, only leveled it using a straightedge and filled in the holes with 5 minute epoxy. I cut the top rail just long enough to mount a Vortex Venom sight. My reason was that I am very near-sighted and have progressive lenses on my glasses, and peep sights do not work well. It is a heavy barrel rifle so the fore-end mounts do not fit and the side mount is very high and tends to mount crooked from my experience. I had drilled and tapped the heavy barrel itself and mounted a pistol scope in the scout fashion and that was OK but the rifle was too front heavy and sight acquisition was slow and I am aging and don't think the idea of defending the republic from internal enemies is a practical consideration any longer, so just a close range and quick handling device is more desirable for me, since the republic has already failed, it is just too stupid to realize it and what is left of its populace is becoming desperate more and more. Globalization means equalization with sweat-shop slave states while the republic is sold out for profiteering entrepreneurs. What can I say, the trans nationalists kill our presidents. JFK versus the Federal Reserve, JFK the Bush connection, Bankers versus Presidents are a few good research sources. Pilots for Truth 911, Architects and Engineers for 911 Truth etc. Thanks.

Nice product, very happy for this option

The mount installed fine on my M1A. It does sit up from the bore, which meant that the optic I wanted to use was too far above the bore to get proper eye relief or cheek weld. But as far as providing an option to get a Picatinny rail further back on the M1A, it does the job.
